Our Journey

Our congregation has been serving the people of Augusta County and surrounding areas since 1992. After utilizing more than a dozen temporary facilities, such as schools, shopping centers and restaurants, we completed and moved into our current facility in 2001. We’re excited to have such a wonderful place where we can gather to worship God, encourage each other and reach out to our communities.

If you’re looking for a church home we invite you visit us sometime. Our pastors and staff are available to answer any questions you may have.

Our Vision

To experience church like we read about in the New Testament

Our Mission

To BUILD A PEOPLE who will PASSIONATELY LOVE God, COMPASSIONATELY SERVE one another, and PURPOSEFULLY IMPACT our world for Christ!

  • BUILD A PEOPLE:  We are carefully joined together in Him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. (Ephesians 2:21)
  • PASSIONATELY LOVE GOD:  Jesus replied, “You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. (Matthew 22:37-38)
  • COMPASSIONATELY SERVE ONE ANOTHER:  A second is equally important: "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:39)
  • PURPOSEFULLY IMPACT OUR WORLD FOR CHRIST:  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Our Strategy
  • MEMBERSHIP: Our aim is to invite people into a personal relationship with God, teach them to love Him and integrate them into the family of God.
  • MINISTRY: Our aim is to build up, encourage, support and meet the needs of each other in the church family. This is best accomplished through small group communities called Life Groups. Many other ministries are also developed to accomplish this purpose.
  • MISSIONS: Our aim is to teach and train all members to impact their world and beyond.
Our Community

At Cornerstone, we are dedicated to demonstrate God’s love to our community. We want to reach our community in many ways. Those ways can be in person, online, individually, or through our Life Groups. We believe that the church needs to be mobilized and not stationary.

The World

We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus, not just in our community, but in the uttermost parts of the world as God enables and directs us. We believe that national and international missions play an important role in our being faithful to the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28.
