Teresa Tomey: Administrative Secretary
I was born and raised in Augusta County and graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in 1976. I met my husband Barry shortly after high school and we were married in 1980. Our son, Jeremy and his wife, Sandi have given us two precious grandsons, Tristan and Micah. Our daughter, Jessica attends Shenandoah Universtiy and is working on a doctorate in physical therapy. Our family began attending Cornerstone in 1993 and I joined the office staff in September 1994 and have loved this job like no other. My passion is to serve the Lord in helping others to become free and to build a personal relationship with Him. For relaxation, I enjoy camping, riding my Sportster, walking Dolly (our little Rottweiler) and spending time with family and friends.
Stan Horst: Financial Administrator
I have been a part of Cornerstone Church of Augusta since graduating from Eastern Mennonite College in 1994. My wife Deb and I have two children, Kendall and Jordan. Together, we operate a resort cabin business called Cabin Creekwood. When not working, I enjoy the outdoors with hiking, fishing, camping, and golf. I love reading, and would like to spend more time woodworking.
Sherri Mayo: Events Coordinator
I have the ultimate privilege of being the Pastor’s wife and co-worker in the Kingdom with Pastor Greg. I also have the ultimate privilege of mothering two children, Jonathan and Hope. If I am not at the church planning and overseeing events, I am taking on the daily challenges of keeping a home running, driving the children to activities, or ministering to women within the church. My heart is to help women mature in the Lord and to teach them practically how to walk in confidence-physically, emotionally and spiritually. I also consider it a great honor to be able to minister in the same hometown I grew up in.
Debbie Horst: Pre-school Ministry Director
I have been a part of Cornerstone since 1991, first in Mt. Crawford and then here at our Augusta location. Prior to joining our staff as the Preschool Director I helped out in the Preschool department teaching, and coordinating the teaching schedule. In 1989 I married Stan Horst. We have two children, Kendall and Jordan. Together, Stan and I own and operate a resort cabin business known as Cabin Creekwood. When I am not working, I enjoy reading, camping, scrapbooking, and Stampin Up!.
Mary Beth Bowman: Youth Ministry Director
My husband Bruce and I began attending Cornerstone in 1994. Bruce and I were married in 1988 and have two children, a daughter, Drew, and a son, Logan. We both grew up and live in Rockingham County. I have been involved in many areas of ministry since coming to Cornerstone from life group leader, worship team, Rock Church, to youth ministry, where my heart truly lies. I have been involved in the youth ministry for around 9 years and have just recently come on staff with Cornerstone in the fall of 2008. I love these teenagers and my heart is for them to grow in their relationship with God! Real Teens...Real Faith...Real God. Reality Youth Rocks!
Jill Hatter: Worship Leader
My husband, Benny and I started attending Cornerstone in the Fall of 1994. We both grew up in this area and were married in June 1984. We have 2 boys…or I should say…young men. They are both in their 20’s and our oldest is married to a precious young lady with whom I am enjoying having as a part of our family. I have always had an interest in music since I can remember. I think my first solo was actually in the First grade Christmas program…I remember singing Silent Night. Wow! Since then I have sung in my church choir, school choirs, community choirs and I have sung on praise and worship teams since 1989. I have also had the opportunity to write and record my own songs, which has been a lifelong dream of mine. I can see how God’s hand has been guiding me every step of the way to this point in my life of serving the Cornerstone body in leading worship. God has filled my life with so many blessings and so many experiences and I am so excited to be able to express my love and gratefulness to the Lord through music while leading His precious people along the way. Let’s celebrate Jesus and enjoy being in His presence together!!!
