LIFE TRAINING
The Bible says, "Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come" (I Timothy 4:8). Whether you are a new Christian or new to our congregation, Life Training is a spiritual growth program that is sure to develop your walk with Christ and give you a greater understanding of the vision, mission and values of Cornerstone Church. Each component is designed to inspire you with knowledge of the Scriptures and equip you with skills for ministry.
Life Training I (MEMBERSHIP): Life Training I builds an important foundation for those wanting to grow in their faith and who desire to join the Cornerstone family. Participants will learn the history and values of Cornerstone Church. We will look at important questions such as...
- What does it mean to surrender my life to Christ?
- Is the Bible a reliable source of truth?
- Who is the Holy Spirit and what does He do?
- What does the Bible say about leadership in the church?
- How does being a Christian affect my view of money?
Life Encounter (FREEDOM): Life Encounter is a weekend event where participants come face to face with God's love, acceptance and forgiveness. Encounter leaders will guide you through a process using Biblical teaching and personalized ministry that will enable you to encounter God's amazing grace. Life Encounters have proven to be defining moments for participants as they open up their hearts, allowing God to love them at deeper levels.
Life Training II (MINISTRY): Life Training II focuses on how followers of Christ can minister to one another, especially through small groups called Life Groups. The Bible says we are all ministers who are given gifts by the Holy Spirit to build each other up. This training will instruct you on how to do just that. Additionally, you will learn a simple, yet effective way, to communicate the Good News to those who are still seeking after God.
Life Training III (MISSION): Life Training III will help you to understand how God has wired and gifted you to participate in His mission of spreading Good News to those upon the earth. You'll learn to appreciate the special qualities God has created within you and discover ways to apply them for His purposes.
CORNERSTONE BIBLE INSTITUTE (CBI)
CBI offers a variety of Bible-based courses. These courses are typically offered during the week and run an average of 10 weeks. Members are encouraged to enroll in CBI courses to deepen their walk with God and grow in their ministry skills.

- Unshared Love: Learning how to love unconditionally
- The Bait of Satan: Escaping the trap of being offended and learning how to forgive
- Under Cover: Walking in right relationship and with a right attitude toward authority
- Communion with God: How to have a more personal and intimate relationship with God
- Care Evangelism: Learning how to share Christ with others by first learning how to care for them
- Battlefield of the Mind: Winning the battle in your thought life
